Robert C. Daigle

Chief Executive Officer & Chairman of the Board

Robert C. Daigle became CEO of Amtech Systems in August 2023, having joined the Board in August 2021 and elected Chairman in March 2022. Prior to his role at Amtech, Mr. Daigle served as Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Rogers Corporation, where he had a distinguished 30-year career in various senior executive positions. At Rogers, he successfully built and led both the High Frequency Circuit Materials and Power Electronics Solutions businesses. Mr. Daigle holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and Materials Engineering from the University of Connecticut and an M.B.A. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Matthew Klauck

Director of Operations

Matthew Klauck has been with Intersurface Dynamics for more than 30 years of its more than 40 year history and saw the company through much of its building and product development phases. During much of this history Matt fostered a Quality Policy governed by the three pillars of Quality, Response, and Value, under which the company is committed to providing safe and effective products to a broad spectrum of customers across myriad industries. In addition to managing the division’s personnel, Matt’s official title is Director of Operations. Not to be limited by a title, Matt also maintains an ISO Certified QMS, fields all technical support calls, maintains laboratory functions, and serves as liaison with a worldwide distribution network. Matt’s favorite part of his job is learning new things from his customers from which there is unlimited potential.

Matt received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, IN in 1991. When Matt’s not actively engaged in work activity, he is usually enmeshed in one or more of his many passions including reading, creative writing, nature photography and bicycle riding.

Peter Wrschka, Ph.D.

Director of Product Development

Dr. Peter Wrschka is a seasoned expert in semiconductor process engineering, currently serving as the Director of Product and Applications Development for Amtech Systems' Semiconductor Fabrication Solutions Division. With over two decades of experience in chemical mechanical planarization (CMP) and advanced wafer processing, he has held pivotal roles at leading companies such as IBM, Entegris, and Axus Technology. Dr. Wrschka's expertise encompasses CMP process development, substrate thinning, wafer bonding, and cleaning technologies. His academic background includes a Ph.D. in physics, and his contributions to the field are well-documented through numerous publications and patents related to CMP technology.
