After edging or beveling, the glass surface can have a dull look that, depending upon end use, requires single- or double-sided polishing using a cerium oxide slurry.  Using a slurry additive can enhance polishing by keeping the cerium oxide abrasive suspended in the slurry, for higher quality finishes and faster, more efficient production.  It also prevents abrasive from hard packing inside tanks and lines, resulting in easier clean up and maintenance.  Intersurface Dynamics manufacturers a variety of slurry additives, including one specifically formulated for use with cerium oxide abrasive.
